Typosquatting
Typosquatting is a cyberattack where criminals register domain names or email addresses that are slight misspellings of legitimate ones to deceive users.
Typosquatting relies on common typing errors to trick people into visiting fake websites or opening malicious emails. Attackers register domains that look almost identical to trusted brands, hoping users will overlook the misspelling. This technique is used for phishing, malware distribution, or brand impersonation.
